One Date, Worth Remembering
the single number to know before you order anything handmade for the holidays this year.
every piece we make starts after you order it, not before. that's the trade-off of handmade, made-to-order jewelry — it's built for you specifically, in our los angeles studio, which means it needs real time on the calendar. the question we hear most as december gets closer isn't about design or gemstones. it's simpler than that: will this actually get here in time?
here's the honest, specific answer, not a vague "order soon."
The Short Answer: December 7
order by december 7, 2026, and a made-to-order juwels & co piece will be made, shipped, and in hand before christmas day. that date already accounts for both the time it takes us to make your piece and the time it takes to ship it to you — you don't need to do any extra math.
this is the date for our made-to-order collection — the rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings you can shop directly on the site today. a fully custom design, built from scratch with julia, runs on its own timeline — more on that below.
Why Handmade Jewelry Runs on a Different Clock
a big-box jeweler can promise next-day delivery because the piece already exists, sitting in a warehouse somewhere. that's never been how we work. every juwels & co piece is handmade in our los angeles studio after you place the order — which is also why it feels like yours in a way a stocked piece doesn't. the honest cost of that is time.
most pieces on the site today — ready in one to two weeks, then shipped within one to three business days.
a piece designed from scratch with julia — six to ten weeks from your approved design to delivery.
one of our favorite examples of the made-to-order tier is the emerald-cut diamond stud earrings — a quiet, wearable piece that's handmade to your exact gold and carat preference, not pulled from a drawer, but still well within that one-to-two-week window.
What December 7 Actually Covers
december 7 is our standard cutoff for a made-to-order piece shipping within the u.s. and arriving before christmas day. a few honest notes on what that date does and doesn't guarantee:
we'd always rather give you a straight answer at hello@juwels.co than have you guess.
Ordering for Hanukkah
hanukkah begins at sundown on december 4, 2026, and runs through december 12 — earlier than our general christmas cutoff. if you want a piece in hand for the first night, december 7 is too late. the safest move is to order sooner, or reach out directly so we can give you a date specific to the piece you have in mind, rather than guess at a single blanket cutoff for all eight nights.
If You're Planning a Fully Custom Piece
a fully custom design starts with a conversation, not a cart. julia sketches the idea, builds a full cad design, and nothing goes into production until you approve it — then it's six to ten weeks to delivery. if a bespoke piece is the plan for this year, the honest thing to tell you is: start now. email hello@juwels.co with your date, and we'll tell you plainly whether it's still possible and what the timeline looks like.
If You're Already Past the Date
life doesn't always cooperate with shipping calendars, and december 7 will come and go for some of you. a few honest options if that's where you are:
