two cuts are available through the upgrade program, both of which are central to the juwels & co toi et moi aesthetic.
- Emerald cut a rectangular step-cut stone with clipped corners and long, parallel facets that create a hall-of-mirrors effect rather than the sharp sparkle of brilliant cuts. elegant, elongated, and architecturally clear. the emerald cut reads as considered and confident — a stone that earns its attention through depth rather than flash.
- Pear cut a hybrid of the round brilliant and the marquise — a pointed tip at one end, a rounded base at the other. the pear cut is one of the most flattering shapes on the finger, elongating the hand and creating movement and softness in the silhouette. symbolic and graceful, it's been central to the toi et moi design since the original joséphine ring.
about lab-grown diamonds
lab-grown diamonds are chemically and physically identical to mined diamonds. they are made of carbon in a crystal lattice structure — the same material, the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), the same optical properties, the same brilliance. the only difference is origin: a lab-grown diamond is created in a controlled environment over weeks rather than formed underground over billions of years.
they are graded on the same GIA scale as mined diamonds — cut, color, clarity, and carat — and they are not simulants (which is what cubic zirconia and moissanite are). a lab-grown diamond is a diamond.
